Annekathy Sarasin began her working life as an interior designer in Milan. Taking photos for recording projects was a necessary part of the job
but it was soon apparent that Annekathy had a natural feeling for composition.
Six years later she returned to Switzerland to study at the Kunstgewerbe schule in Zurich. She moved seamlessly from android to digital, enjoying the freedom for spontaneity that the latter offered.
Ever seeking perfection, a chance conversation with Ernst Beyeler introduced her to Lamba laser printing on aluminium which gave her photos a
magical luminesence and eerie reality.
The minimal frames are individually chosen and made to suit each photograph.
